Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said two crude-oil tankers caught fire after striking naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz. The report changes the paper’s September account of unsettled safe-route authority: it describes claimed mine strikes on tankers. [E1] [E2]

Reuters reported that state media put the cargo on each vessel at about 2 million barrels of crude. Al Jazeera said the ships’ identities and cargo origins were not immediately available. [E3] [E4]
