Officials described the object as most likely a drone, while its exact identity and origin remained unresolved. [E2]

Vilmantas Vitkauskas, head of Lithuania’s National Crisis Management Centre, told Lithuanian radio station LRT that the latest information indicated an airborne threat most likely to be a drone. [E7]

NATO air-policing fighters were scrambled. [E4]

Kaunas airport was temporarily closed. [E4]

Latvian forces briefly issued a yellow warning in border regions and then withdrew it. [E5]
