Shein entered Hong Kong’s newly listed securities ledger on 1 September 2026 under the short name “SHEIN-W” and stock code 00625 [E1]. The row identifies the corporate action as “New Listing” and sets the board lot at 100 shares [E1]. Its date carries no asterisk [E1].

HKEX defines an asterisk on that register as a tentative date of listing or trading [E2]. Shein’s unmarked line records 1 September without that tentative-date warning [E1][E2]. That status settles the first-trade clock at yes [E1][E2].

The same row carries four market-status marks: admission to CCASS, eligibility for short selling, liability for Hong Kong stamp duty, and inclusion in the pre-opening and closing-auction sessions [E1]. Those marks place 00625 inside the exchange’s settlement and session machinery on its dated listing line [E1]. The code had entered the machinery of the market [E1].
