Abdi framed the dissolution as the endpoint of a completed integration into Syrian Army brigades [E1][E3]. That conversion gives the top of the command chart a documented answer: one national military chain [E1]. The communiqués do not identify which former SDF element belongs to which brigade or through which named commander orders would flow [E1][E3]. They therefore publish the new command principle without publishing its subordinate roster [E1][E3].

President Ahmad al-Sharaa received Abdi and his delegation at the People’s Palace at 10:28 p.m. local time, 19:28 UTC [E2]. Neither account supplies the missing unit-by-unit command ledger [E1][E3].

The official framing also reaches beyond uniformed command [E1][E2]. The dissolution announcement says parallel military and administrative structures are ending [E1]. The presidency says the evening meeting addressed integration into state institutions and the steps of the next phase [E2]. The published process therefore joins military absorption and institutional absorption under the same state-integration sequence [E1][E2].

The 25 August record changes the formal answer to who holds military command: one national chain and no independent SDF military organisation [E1][E3]. It gives no public ledger for the units, commanders, salaries, weapons or strategic sites through which that arrangement will operate [E1][E2][E3].
