Public commodity pages showed Brent at $88.73 and WTI at $82.93 around 17:44 UTC on Monday. [E1] Traders had already marked down the barrel after the informal pause in U.S. strikes against Iran.

The United States paused attacks for a second straight day on Sunday, and Iran also held fire. [E3] The arrangement remained informal, so a quiet weekend did not carry the guarantees of a signed ceasefire.

JMIC Update 076 of 26 July described Strait traffic as remaining at reduced levels. Volumes sat below pre-conflict levels and at a three-week low. No sustained increase appeared on the southern Omani corridor. [E2]

U.S. MARAD kept its advisory in force. Risks to commercial vessels remain high. Significant GNSS interference, spoofing and jamming continued. [E4]

UKMTO Advisory 096-26 reported an incident involving a tanker and military forces in the Gulf of Oman. The investigation remained open. Ships can switch off AIS and interference persists, so public visibility stays incomplete. [E5]

The strike pause may persist, and traffic may recover with a lag. The first official JMIC statement that removes the word reduced will mark the point when hull counts through the corridors catch the barrel price.
